Why we’re here

Oui was born from a simple truth: women deserve chefwear that fits.

We believe kitchens should be places of mastery and joy - not discomfort.

That uniforms should empower, not erase. And that better gear can lead to better days on the line.

Rooted in craftsmanship, sustainability, and equity, Oui is committed to making chefwear that supports the people who bring food to life.

We're starting with women - and building something stronger for everyone.

Meet Kate!

Kate Allan is a chef, entrepreneur, and innovator redefining the future of culinary apparel. Kate brings a unique fusion of culinary expertise and fashion industry acumen to the table, making her the ideal disruptor in the chef uniform space.

Kate earned a degree from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, equipping her with the technical skills to design high-performing, functional apparel. Before stepping fully into the culinary world, she founded and ran two successful eco-friendly clothing boutiques, giving her hands-on experience in sustainable textiles, retail, and brand-building.

Kate has spent years in high-pressure kitchens, experiencing firsthand the challenges of ill-fitting uniforms. Kate has worked as both garde-de-chef and pastry chef at some of Sonoma’s premier dining destinations, including Marla Bakery, Stockholm Restaurant, Montage Resort, and is currently pastry chef at The Charter Oak in St. Helena, California.

With Oui, Kate is setting a new standard for chef wear. Combining her deep understanding of garment construction, sustainability, and real-world kitchen experience, she is on a mission to create chef uniforms that fit, flatter, and perform for modern chefs—starting with women, and ultimately for all.

Oui is more than a uniform; it’s a statement of inclusivity, sustainability, and excellence in the kitchen.
